The site is due for a facelift and as such I would like to announce that there will be a contest open to all of Caid to submit artwork for the new site design. Scribes, Artists, Illuminators, Graphic Artists and anyone else interested are all invited to submit artwork to the contest.

Any and all styles and themes are welcome as long as they meet the minimum requirements listed below and somehow fit with the SCA and the Kingdom of Caid.

Need help figuring out what to do? Why not take a look at some of the other Kingdom Websites, perhaps take inspiration from your favorite scroll, or dust off that copy of "13th Century Manuscripts and You" that has been sitting on your coffee table for the last year. There is inspiration to be found all over the Society (and your coffee table) and all submissions are welcome and encouraged!

Requirements:

All work should be scanner-ready and submitted digitally. The artist of the selected artwork must be willing to do additional artwork for the project.

Additional Requirements:

For Digital and Electronic work:
• Total page size is 800 x 600 pixels.
• There must be a top bar that spans the entire 800 pixels and it must be no more then 150 pixels tall.
• There must be a left hand side bar that spans the entire 600 pixel vertical length and no more then 150 pixels wide.
• The Kingdom arms must be displayed in some way in the top bar, preferably to the left.
• It is suggested that the Kingdom Badge be displayed in the top bar on the right hand side.
• The Offices must be displayed in some fashion down the left hand bar, with their badge and name. (Royals, Seneschal, Arts & Sciences, Chatelaine, Children, Chirurgeon, Chronicler, Constable, Exchequer, Herald, Lists, Marshal, Webwright.)

For Scribes and traditional media artists
• Total page size is 11 inches wide x 8 inches tall.
• There must be a top bar that spans the entire 11 inches and it must be no more then 2 inches tall.
• There must be a left hand side bar that spans the entire 8 inch vertical length and no more then 2 inches wide.
• The Kingdom arms must be displayed in some way in the top bar, preferably to the left.
• It is suggested that the Kingdom Badge be displayed in the top bar on the right hand side.
