Description of Event
Saint Corrigan's "Day" has stretched to an entire weekend in the hopes that our beloved patron saint might someday actually find the park! Please come and join us in the cool shade of lovely Hurkey Creek Park , where you won't even notice that it's August! Festivities will begin with camping Friday night and end with teardown Sunday morning. Activities will be pretty much like last year, with Sheep Rugby, Sack The Town, a Bear Pit and other scenarios for individual and team armoured competitions, as well as multiple games for the entire populace such as Gnome Bowl-ing, Hunkerhauser, Jumper Jousting and/or more equally silly and fun activities all day, with baubling, campfires and storytelling at night.
Fees
Fees: Pre-Registration through the Canton is required for camping; the Canton reserved the entire section of the park and your camping fees are exactly what they cost us: $47 for two nights per space, which will accommodate up to six persons in two tents (that is less than $8 per person for the entire weekend)! To encourage full participation, campers will not be charged a site fee for the event ... AND we are planning a \"traveler\'s kitchen\" to feed you Friday night!
Not Camping?
Site fees for non-camping Adults (12 and over): $8.00, with a $5.00 discount for SCA members; Children under 12 will be guests of the Canton. (That means it is only $3 for members, and kids are free!) Please make checks payable to SCA Inc, Canton of Gallavally.
NOTE: The park will charge an additional entry fee of $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children and pets, payable to the park upon entry. All pets MUST be on a leash at all times. There can only be two vehicles per campsite - this is a park rule and is strictly enforced. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Non-campers will be directed to appropriate parking.
Additional Information
Reservations are now being accepted. There are only a few spaces left! We had to turn people away last year, and if we are going to need to book more of the park we will need to know as soon as possible. Please contact our Seneschal Mora de Buchanan for reservations. Franklin von Ravensburg can be reached with all other inquiries.
